These unique, exhilarating survival and team building courses are run south of the Brecon Beacons from the Lamb Hotel, Penderyn near the waterfall country at grid reference 946089 - Ordnance Survey map sheet 160. Telephone No. 01685-811357. The aims of these courses are two-fold: to teach all aspects of survival to teach Initiative, Motivation and Teamwork

COURSE ONE

Introductory survival weekend course catering for individuals or organised groups. Starting Friday evening at approximately 2000hrs. (depending on the traffic) at the Lamb Hotel base camp and finishing on the Sunday at approximately 1200hrs.

The subjects taught are as follows:

Lectures on navigation and mountain safety awareness.
Walks whilst completing initiative tasks on route using map and compass.
Edible plants, fungi, improvised weapons, traps, snares and fishing techniques.
Water purification, survival medicine and distress signals.
Fire lighting, shelters and food preparation.

All theory, then practical!

FEES Ł100.00 per student.

COURSE TWO

Management, Initiative, Movitation, and Team Building Course, catering for companies, organised groups or individuals. Their are two programmes on offer:

Starting Friday evening at the Lamb Hotel base camp until the following day finishing at approximately 1700hrs. or alternatively;
From Friday evening until Sunday at approximately 1200hrs.

These unique courses are for people in managerial positions in a team. As well as covering the subjects outlined in COURSE ONE, the main emphasis is on Initiative, Motivation and Teamwork
(so as to become more efficient when in their place of work).

We can adjust to your company or organised group needs, then tailor the course to suit you. Breakaway is flexible and can run these courses mid-week if preferred.

Your hidden costs are bar meals, drinks etc.
